Which country’s laws apply to any dispute?
These terms of service, their subject matter and their formation, are governed by English law. We both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
Alternative dispute resolution
Alternative dispute resolution is a process where an independent body considers the facts of a dispute and seeks to resolve it, without you having to go to court. If you are not happy with how we have handled any complaint, you may want to contact the Financial Ombudsman Service,

Tom & Matchroom Ticket Promotion – Ts & Cs
Promotion: This Promotion is a marketing exercise with the aim of encouraging Participants to purchase a life insurance policy.

Terms and Conditions:
- 1. Acceptance of Terms :
- 1.1 Entry to this Promotion shall constitute your acceptance of these terms and conditions and your agreement to be bound by them.
- 1.2 These terms and conditions take effect immediately upon entry to the promotion.
- 1.3 These terms and conditions prevail in the event of a conflict or inconsistency with any other communication, including advertising or promotional materials.
- 1.4 This Promotion is a complimentary thank-you for customers.
- 1.5 Your decision to buy should always be based on your insurance needs.
- 2. Opening and closing dates:
- 2.1 This Promotion will start on 17 October and conclude on 7 November 2025.
- 3. Eligibility
- 3.1 Participants must be residents of the United Kingdom and aged 18 years or older.
- 3.2 Employees of the Promoter, Matchroom, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
- 4. How to Enter
- 4.1 Participants must purchase a Tom life insurance policy during the Opening and closing dates via the dedicated Promotion page at https://www.tom.co.uk/goldenticket/
- 4.2 Upon purchase, they will be entered automatically into a random prize draw to win the determined prize.
- 4.3 The prize will be displayed on the landing page and on the entry form.
- 4.4 Prizes include but are not limited to: tickets to a predetermined Matchroom event
- 5. Prize Details
- 5.1 The Winner will receive
(a) four tickets to the 2025/2026 World Darts Championship taking place on 11/12/2025
(b) two tickets to the Chris Eubank Jr vs Connor Benn 2 boxing match taking place on 15/11/2025 and
(c) four tickets to the 2025 UK Snooker Championship to be held on 29/11/2025 at 1pm. - 5.2 The winner will also receive hotel accommodation on the night of each event, a £50 bar tab at each event, and transport between hotel and venue for each event.
- 5.3 A representative from the Promoter may accompany winners at the event. This representative will be separate from the event experience and will be present solely on behalf of the Promoter to ensure the smooth running of the prize fulfillment process.
- 5.4 The Promoter may record content at the event for marketing purposes, and winners may be featured in such content.
- 5.1 The Winner will receive
- 6. Winner Notification and Claiming the Prize
- 6.1 Winners will be contacted by a member of the Promoter’s customer experience team within two weeks of winning.
- 6.2 The Promoter will attempt to call the winner during the notification period.
- 6.3 Email notifications will also be sent to winners.
- 6.4 If a winner does not respond within a further two week period the notification period, the prize will be forfeited and reallocated.
- 7. General Terms
- 7.1 Ticket prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives and not for resale.
- 7.2 The Promoter and Matchroom are not responsible for any additional costs incurred by winners themselves, including but not limited to travel and accommodation.
- 7.3 Tom reserves the right to amend or cancel the Promotion at any time without prior notice for a reason that is outside of their control, but will take all reasonable steps to arrange a prize with commensurate value, which shall be at the Promoter’s sole discretion.
- 7.4 By participating in the Promotion, winners agree to Tom using their name, image, and footage gathered at the event for promotional purposes without additional compensation.
- 7.5 We accept no responsibility for prizes that are lost, stolen or unused by their expiry date.
- 8. Disqualification and additional terms
- 8.1 We may, in our sole discretion (a) disqualify any entrant or winner who breaches these rules, has acted fraudulently in any way or brings either the Promoter or Matchroom into disrepute, or (b) disqualify any entrant or winner, withdraw or substitute any prize should an entrant winner or guest at the event in our sole discretion display inappropriate or dangerous behaviour.
- 8.2 Use of tickets may be subject to additional terms and conditions of Matchroom or other third party.
- 9. Winner List
- 9.1 We reserve the right to refer to the winner publicly by their first name and location that we have on record.
- 9.2 The winners’ surname and respective county of residence can be obtained by sending an email to hello@tom.co.uk within 28 days of the closing date for entries.
- 10. Privacy and Data Protection
- 10.1 By entering this promotion, you agree to us collecting and using your personal data.
- 10.2 We, and any third-party agencies acting on our behalf, may collect personal information from you in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018, UK GDPR and/or other applicable data privacy laws.

- 11. Decision of the Promoter
- 11.1 If there is any dispute about the receipt or validity of any prize or any other aspect of the Promotion, this will be decided by Us.
- 11.2 Our decision regarding any aspect of the promotion is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
- 11.3 We are not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions.
- 11.4 We reserve the right to cancel or amend this Promotion due to events or circumstances arising beyond our control.
- 12. Limitation of Liability
- 12.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law
- (i) We exclude all conditions, warranties and representations express or implied by law or otherwise in connection with the prize and the promotion

- 13.1 If any section in these Terms and Conditions is found by any court or administrative body of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, such invalidity or unenforceability shall not affect the other sections of these Terms and Conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.

- 14.1 These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
- 14.2 You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales if any dispute arises regarding these terms and conditions.

Referral scheme terms and conditions
1 This referral scheme is operated by Candid Insurance Limited (“the Promoter/We/Us”) with it’s registered office at 920 Hempton Court Aztec West, Bristol, BS32 4SR, company registration number 07279489 and FCA reference number 603273. The Promoter trades as Tom and Tom.co.uk.
2 These terms and conditions apply to a referral scheme whereby eligible customers (“Existing Customer/You/Your”) have the chance to be rewarded with a £50 Amazon voucher for referring new customers who make a qualifying purchase with Tom. Customers shall agree to these terms and conditions to be eligible. The referral scheme is open to all existing Tom customers. Customers cannot self-refer.
3 Upon purchase of a Life Insurance, Serious Illness Cover, Income protection or Private Medical Insurance policy by a new customer aged 18 or over, who has not previously held a policy via Tom, we will provide you with your referral reward via an Amazon voucher (“the Referral Reward”) once the third payment is received from the new customer on that policy. The voucher will be sent directly to the email address registered on Your Tom account.
4 By providing us with the contact details for the person being referred, you confirm that you have the permission of the person being referred to do so, that you know of no reason why the referred person will object to their contact details being passed to us for the purpose of facilitating the sale of a qualifying insurance policy and You are happy for us to say that the referral originates from you. Any personal data supplied during the course of this referral scheme will only be processed as set out in the Promoter’s privacy policy; a copy of which can be accessed via the following webpage : https://www.tom.co.uk/privacy/
5 Existing customers may earn rewards for multiple referrals, but each new customer may only trigger the Referral Reward once, even if multiple policies are purchased by the new customer.
6 Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to award the Referral Reward to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
7 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so. The Promoter’s decisions are final and binding.
8 Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the redeemer of the Referral Reward or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the reward, except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected. The Promoter’s liability to the customer for losses under this referral scheme shall be limited to the monetary value of the Referral Reward, save as permitted by law.
9 Once the Promoter has provided the Referral Reward, the Promoter shall have no further obligation to the customer in respect of the Referral Reward. The Promoter holds no responsibility for the acts of Amazon, and the Promoter holds no liability for the services of Amazon. All rights of action in respect of the Referral Reward will solely be against Amazon. The Promoter has no liability for the acts of Amazon.
10 No term of the Agreement will be enforceable by virtue of the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 by any person that is not a party to it.
11 The Promoter and the customer acknowledge that these terms and conditions, including the Promoter’s privacy policy, contain the whole agreement between them and that they have not relied upon any other oral or written representations made to each of them by the other including the Promoter’s employees or agents.
12 The Promoter shall not be responsible for any direct, indirect or consequential loss that may be incurred by the customer should the Promoter be unable to fulfil its obligations under these terms and conditions due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, fire, flood, storm, acts of God, war, riot, civil commotion, compliance with any law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, strikes, lock-outs or other industrial disputes or failure of a utility service, transport or telecommunications network (“a Force Majeure Event”).
