  1. This referral scheme is operated by Candid Insurance Services Ltd (“the Promoter/We/Us”) with it’s registered office at 920 Hempton Court Aztec West, Bristol, BS32 4SR, company registration number 07279489 and FCA reference number 603273. The Promoter trades as TOM and TOM.co.uk.
  2. These terms and conditions apply to a referral scheme whereby eligible customers (“Existing Customer/You/Your”) have the chance to be rewarded with a £50.00 Amazon voucher for referring new customers who make a qualifying purchase with TOM. Customers shall agree to these terms and conditions to be eligible. The referral scheme is open to all existing TOM customers. Customers cannot self-refer.
  3. Upon purchase of a Life Insurance, Serious Illness Cover, Income Protection or Accident and Sickness Insurance policy by a new customer aged 18 or over, who has not previously held a policy via TOM, we will provide you with your referral reward via an Amazon voucher (“the Referral Reward”) once the third payment is received from the new customer on that policy. The voucher will be sent directly to the email address registered on Your TOM account.
  4. By providing us with the contact details for the person being referred, you confirm that you have the permission of the person being referred to do so, that you know of no reason why the referred person will object to their contact details being passed to us for the purpose of facilitating the sale of a qualifying insurance policy and You are happy for us to say that the referral originates from you. Any personal data supplied during the course of this referral scheme will only be processed as set out in the Promoter’s privacy policy; a copy of which can be accessed via the following webpage: https://www.tom.co.uk/privacy/.
  5. Existing customers may earn rewards for multiple referrals, but each new customer may only trigger the Referral Reward once, even if multiple policies are purchased by the new customer.
  6. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to award the Referral Reward to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
  7. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so. The Promoter’s decisions are final and binding.
  8. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the redeemer of the Referral Reward or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the reward, except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected. The Promoter’s liability to the customer for losses under this referral scheme shall be limited to the monetary value of the Referral Reward, save as permitted by law.
  9. Once the Promoter has provided the Referral Reward, the Promoter shall have no further obligation to the customer in respect of the Referral Reward. 11. The Promoter and the customer acknowledge that these terms and conditions, including the Promoter’s privacy policy, contain the whole agreement between them and that they have not relied upon any other oral or written representations made to each of them by the other including the Promoter’s employees or agents.
  12. The Promoter shall not be responsible for any direct, indirect or consequential loss that may be incurred by the customer should the Promoter be unable to fulfil its obligations under these terms and conditions due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, fire, flood, storm, acts of God, war, riot, civil commotion, compliance with any law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, strikes, lock-outs or other industrial disputes or failure of a utility service, transport or telecommunications network (“a Force Majeure Event”).
